EDB will also give a career talk at Careers Forum, Hall 1D from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on 17 January 2025 (Friday) to introduce the jobs and career prospects of Education Bureau education grades.

The Labour Department will set up a booth (Booth 1D-B01) in the “Education & Careers Expo 2025” to be held on 16-19 January 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Apart from its employment services, information on the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme and the Working Holiday Scheme will be provided to assist job seekers, in particular young people, to learn more about career opportunities in Hong Kong and the Mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area as well as overseas.

CSB will set up a booth (1D-C02) in the Expo to publicise job opportunities in the civil service.  We will conduct 16 sharing sessions “Careers in Government” in our booth to introduce various civil service jobs in small groups (around 30 to 40 persons each) during the four days.  Each sessions will be around 30 minutes.  The speakers will introduce some basic information of their jobs, such as entry requirements, pay and fringe benefits, training opportunities and career development prospects.  They will also share with the participants their inspiring tales and real-life examples of how they overcome difficulties to create a caring community and a vibrant economy.  The sharing sessions received an overwhelming response last year.  If you plan to arrange your students to come in groups, please let us know asap, we will try to reserve some seats for you on a first-come-first-served basis.

In addition to the sharing sessions, we will, for the first time, set up an Information Corner inside our booth to provide an opportunity for representatives from 14 bureaux / departments to chit-chat with visitors in a casual atmosphere.  Three information kiosks will be set up concurrently in the Information Corner in the morning or afternoon session.

Riding on the positive response in the past, we will continue to organise larger scale thematic seminars at the Careers Forum.  This year, speakers from the Administrative Officer Grade, the Executive Officer Grade and the Clerical and Secretarial Grades will share with us the highlights of their jobs at the Careers Forum.
