Education and Careers Expo 2026

CSB will set up a dedicated booth (No. 1D-C02) at the Expo.  Apart from providing civil service recruitment information, representatives from the Administrative Officer (AO), Executive Officer (EO), Official Languages Officer, Training Officer, and Clerical & Secretarial (C&S) grades will be there to share with visitors their valuable work experiences and career prospects. 

Sharing Sessions

To showcase the diversity of the civil service, we will conduct 17 thematic sharing sessions under “Diverse Spectrum of Public Service: Careers Exploration Series”at the Stage Area (1D-A16) of the Government Pavilion.  Speakers will present notable achievements of the departments / grades and illustrative anecdotes and good stories from their professional experience and daily work, while introducing relevant recruitment information.  These sessions offer a unique opportunity for students to learn more about various departments and obtain first-hand recruitment information.  Given the popularity of these sessions in previous years, we encourage you to notify us early if you intend to arrange group visits.  We will try to reserve seating on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Seminars at the Open Forum

Another highlight of the Expo is the seminars at the Open Forum.  Following the success of previous years, the AO, EO, and C&S grades will once again conduct seminars at the Open Forum on the Civil Servants & Public Services Theme Day (22 January 2026) to share with us the highlights of their jobs.  Other departments including the Hong Kong Police Force, the Customs and Excise Department, the Immigration Department and the Development Bureau (Greening, Landscape and Tree Management Section) will also conduct seminars at the Open Forum on the Theme Day to provide recruitment information.

Booths of Other Government Departments

Apart from CSB, around 30 other bureaux and departments will also set up their booths at the Expo.  Further details can be found on the official website.

The Expo provides students and job seekers with a comprehensive platform featuring the latest career and further study opportunities across both public and private sectors. 

In support of this event, the Social Welfare Department (SWD) will –

(i) set up its own booth, and

(ii) deliver a seminar titled “Working in the Social Welfare Department – Opportunities and Challenges 在社會福利署工作的機遇與挑戰” with details as follows –

Seminar

The Education and Careers Expo 2026 (Expo)will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 22 to 25 January 2026.  Education Bureau (EDB)’s booth is at Hall 1E (Booth 1E-A10), introducing to students and jobseekers our various professional grades, including Education Officer (Secondary School Teacher), Primary School Master/Mistress, Inspector (Graduate), Education Officer (Administration), Specialist (Education Services) and Speech Therapist.  You will know more about the work and duties, career development and advancement opportunities, fringe benefits, etc. of these grades if you would like to pursue a career in the education profession.  Our professional staff will be there to share their work experience and insights.

EDB will also give a career talk at Open Forum, Hall 1E from 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. on 23 January 2026 (Friday) to introduce the jobs and career prospects of our professional grades.
