Customs YES Summer Internship Programme 2025 (Phase 1: Customs Formations)

is now open for application!

 

Under the Programme, participating students will be given the opportunity to work as interns within the Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) or companies of C&ED counterparts, enabling them to build valuable work experience and networks, explore their career directions and interests, and prepare for future career development.

 

Phase 1: Customs Formations

In Phase 1 recruitment, interns will work within Customs formations, where they could gain an in-depth understanding of Customs daily operations. Interns will be engaged under non-civil service appointment with a monthly allowance of HK$11,200.

  1. Airport Command
  2. Consumer Protection Bureau
  3. Dealers in Precious Metals and Stones Supervision Bureau
  4. Intelligence Bureau
  5. Intellectual Property Investigation Bureau
  6. Land Boundary Command
  7. Ports and Maritime Command
  8. Office of Customs Affairs and Co-operation
  9. Office of Trade Single Window Operation
  10. Office of Training and Development
  11. Trade Relations and Public Communications

Application Period:

17 February to 2 March 2025

Employment Period:

Mid-June to End of July 2025 (Duration: 6 weeks)

Qualifications:

Applicants must be:

  1. permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise; and
  2. currently enrolled in full-time degree courses of postsecondary institutions locally or overseas.

Remarks:

Each applicant could only apply for one post of Summer Intern in the Customs and Excise Department. Applicants who apply for more than one post will not be considered.

香港海關青年發展計劃暑期工作實習計劃2025（第一階段: 海關科系）現已開始接受申請！計劃分為兩個招聘階段，包括第一階段的海關科系招聘及第二階段的海關業務夥伴招聘。

 

參與計劃的學生將有機會到海關內部或海關業務夥伴機構進行實習，累積實際工作經驗及人脈，探索個人事業興趣及方向，為未來職涯發展做好準備。

 

第一階段: 海關科系

第一階段招聘將提供海關科系的實習崗位，實習生將獲派到海關內部科系工作，深入認識海關的日常運作。海關將按非公務員合約條款聘用暑期實習生，每月實習津貼為HK$11,200。

申請人必須：

  1. 於獲聘時必須已成為香港特別行政區永久性居民；及
  2. 為現正修讀本地或海外專上院校全日制學位課程的學生

申請人只可申請一個香港海關的暑期實習生職位。
如申請人申請多於一個職位，申請將不獲受理。

Important Notes

Past applicants of PSSIP often made careless mistakes which affected their chances of being admitted. 

Please read the following reminders before you download the application.

  1. Make sure you are eligible to apply before you start your application. Read the job description(s) carefully.
    (i.e. any requirement on the year of study? specific major/skills required?)
  2. Attach all relevant documents as requested.
    (e.g.  photocopies of academic transcript, HKDSE results, personal statements etc.)
  3. Mention as many relevant experience and skills as possible.
    (i.e. extra-curricular activities, computer skills, scholarships, work experience, volunteer services)
  4. Perform spell/grammar check before submission. It is recommended to type your application on computer for easy editing.
  5. Check all pages of the form to avoid missing information. Sign in all the space(s) that require your signature.
  6. Follow the format as suggested in each section of the form.  For example, in the “Education” column, usually you have to fill in:
    09/20XX  to 07/20XX    “September/Admission year”  to  “July/Expected Graduation Year”  “九月/入學年份” 至 七月/畢業年份”)
  7. Complete the form in EITHER Chinese or English for consistency.
  8. Pay attention to the internal deadlines set by HKSYU on Career Services Website. Late applications will not be accepted.
