HKMA x HKIB Future Banking Bridging Programme 2026 – Open for Application

Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) will co-organise the Programme in November 2026, marking its 6th edition.

 

This year, the Programme will be held on

  • Day 1: 16 November 2026 (9:00am – 4:00pm) and
  • Day 2: 30 November 2026 (9:00am – 4:00pm)
  • at Cordis Hong Kong (Mongkok).

 

Interested students can apply by submitting the following items to bridging@hkib.org by 20 October 2026 (Tuesday):

  1. Complete the online application form (here)
  2. Copy of HKID
  3. Copy of Student ID

 

Upon completing the Programme, students will receive a joint certificate from HKMA and HKIB, and enjoy a full waiver of HKIB Student Membership fees throughout their university studies.

 

Designed for university students in Hong Kong, the Programme offers an immersive introduction to the banking sector through mentorship by bankers and sharing from experienced industry practitioners.  Students may also have the opportunity to take part in a half-day job shadowing experience at a bank in Hong Kong.  The Networking Corner will also return this year, allowing participants to connect with bankers and HR professionals.
