Probationary Inspector CRE Express
An exclusive fast-track opportunity for university students (Candidate must be a Permanent Resident of HKSAR) graduating in 2027 or 2028 who are sitting the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) on 3 October 2026 (Sat). Qualified candidates may choose to take the PI Written Exam on designated dates and can be exempted from certain papers with their CRE results.
Key Highlights:
- Qualified candidates may take the PI Written Exam, Physical Fitness Test, and the Exclusive Extended Interview.
- University students graduating in 2027 or 2028 and with DSE Level 4 or above (DSE 4+) in both Chinese and English can proceed directly to the Exclusive Extended Interview.
- Successful candidates could start their PI career as early as May 2027.

- PI Written Examination at Hong Kong Police College – 2026-10-10 (Sat), 2026-11-01 (Sun) and 2026-11-07 (Sat)
- Physical Fitness Test at Hong Kong Police College – 2026-10-31 (Sat) and 2026-11-08 (Sun)
- Extended Interview at Police Recruitment Centre or Police Sports and Recreation Club (For DSE 4+ applicants only) – 2026-11-07 (Sat), 2026-11-14 (Sat) and 2026-11-21 (Sat)
